> What’s the image of at the top? Looks like some sort of hearing was at least held?

(1) The header image is a creative commons licensed photo from a hearing that happened in City Hall at the same time I wrote on this story. I filed complaints with the Office of Citizen’s Complaints and with the Sheriff’s Department. Both went nowhere because of the POBOR.

This is what I look like:

> Anyway, does the POBAR prevent you from filing simultaneous suit?

(2) I could have filed a simultaneous suit and that would have been outside of the scope of POBOR. I commented elsewhere why I did not choose to file a suit at the time. That was a mistake.

In short: (a) I was reassured by the Sherif that he would personally look into the matter. (b) Filing a suit is a huge commitment of time and money. It makes sense when you have overwhelming evidence, like video documentation. I do not feel I had this. (c) Filing a suit hurts the whole city and not just the targets of the suit. For example, City Hall has to come out on the side of the officers.

>I have to say, between this and Khazakstan, you have a knack for ending up in jails bud!

(3) Thanks for reading both articles and picking up on the patterns. I have a knack for engaging with life actively in many capacities. And that has consequences. Sometimes you end up in jail. Sometimes you end up coaching a basketball team in Afghanistan.
